Dear Readers,
As the seasons begin to change, there’s something about this time of
year that invites us to slow down.
The days grow a little shorter, dinner conversations linger a little
longer, and we find ourselves reflecting on the people, places, and
traditions that have shaped the year behind us. It’s a season rooted in
gratitude, one that reminds us to gather, reconnect, and appreciate
the simple moments that we often rush past.
That’s what has always drawn us to the Mid-Autumn Festival.
For centuries, families have come together beneath the harvest moon
to celebrate reunion, reflection, and togetherness. No matter where
we are or how busy life becomes, there’s something comforting about
knowing we’re all looking up at the same moon.
As we prepared this Fall issue of Balliet + Wang Luxury Living, we
realized those same values have quietly shaped our own story.
This year marks three years since we began our partnership. Looking
back, what stands out most isn’t a list of milestones, but the people
we’ve met, the friendships we’ve built, and the experiences that have
broadened our perspective. This magazine has become a reflection of
those relationships, and of the incredible community that continues
to grow around it.
This edition feels especially meaningful because it celebrates two
milestones rooted in the same idea: meaningful things take time.
Whether it’s the traditions honored during the Mid-Autumn Festival
or a partnership built over three years, both remind us that the most
rewarding things in life are created with patience, trust, and intention.
To everyone who has read these pages, shared your stories, partnered
with us, and supported this publication along the way: thank you.
You’ve helped shape Balliet + Wang Luxury Living into what it is today,
and we couldn’t be more grateful.
As you read through the coming pages, we hope you discover
something that inspires you: a destination to explore, a conversation
to begin, or simply a reason to slow down and enjoy the season.
Nearly 1,000 years ago, the Chinese poet Su Shi wrote, “Though we
may be separated by a thousand miles, we share the beauty of the same moon.”
From our family to yours, we wish you a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival
filled with peace, laughter, and togetherness.
With gratitude,
Ruby Wang & Michael Balliet
Balliet + Wang Luxury Living
Balliet + Wang Luxury Living
Ruby Wang & Michael Balliet
